She has published five children's books, including the Secret Lives of Dragons, Amazon River and Everest, which received a Special Mention for the Bologna Ragazzi Award, was winner of The Best Young People's Book Award (Openbook), and selected Outstanding Science Trade Book by the Children's Book Council. She grew up around the granite moors of South West England, and now lives in Berlin.
