Allan is a five-year-old non-verbal autistic boy whose family learns how to communicate with him through sign language. They learn to help and love him as he is, and once Allan learns to communicate, his behavior improves as well. This book allows children and adults to learn about speech delays and also educates them about nonverbal autism.
