Drink from the River is a poetry collection wherein the poet, Elaine Mintzer explores how her sister's death changed the contours of her own life. Her sister was a light that the poet slipped into her pocket and carries with her still today. This is a book of memory and futures, of family events mundane and profound. It is about surviving a beautiful and terrible world with grace.
