Maya was devastated when her husband and college sweetheart, John, died of cancer almost three years ago. Although time has passed, she still has not been able to move on. Everything around her reminds her of him. She decides to move to the neighboring town, Chesterville, in the hopes that a new environment will help her move on. The only problem with that plan is that Chesterville is where her son, Jordan's biggest basketball rival, CJ, lives and the first person to stir Maya's heart since her husband died is CJ's father, Christopher.
