Jenny Williams never set out to be an outback cop. It just happened.
Now she's juggling her career, her wedding plans and a pending Christmas visit from her parents. All while her fiancé Nick plays amateur sleuth to uncover a mining company scheme to force farmers from their land.
She's almost relieved to attend a routine traffic incident. It seems like a walk in the park. But it quickly becomes complicated when the intoxicated driver abandons the scene, leaving Jenny literally holding the baby. She's sure the situation can't get any worse.
Until she opens the boot to reveal a dead woman, bound and gagged, with injuries that have nothing to do with a car crash...
