Three hundred miles out of their jurisdiction. Dead center in trouble.
It's 1977, and "Calico" Jack Walker has survived thirty years on the LAPD-rodeo bulls, ex-wives, worse criminals, and everything Los Angeles could throw at a cop. Seven days from retirement, all he wants is one last legendary run. His rookie partner, Tina Tamiko just wants to survive six more days of probation in one piece.
When a dare from a pair of arrogant Metro hotshots sends them blasting across the Mojave in their black-and-white-on duty, in uniform, heading straight for the Las Vegas Strip-it's exactly the kind of stunt that made Walker a department legend. But mid-Strip, a high-stakes heist is going sideways at the Citadel Casino, desperate men are reaching for guns, and two L.A. cops with zero jurisdiction have just rolled into the middle of it.
No authority. No backup. No business being three hundred miles outside their precinct. Good cops never hesitate-and Walker and Tamiko are very good cops. That might just get them both killed.
