In Walked Dolphy captures the angular, exploratory sound world of jazz innovator Eric Dolphy. The piece features wide altissimo leaps and disjointed melodic fragments-hallmarks of Dolphy's distinctive style.
Written for advanced jazz musicians, this composition reimagines the 12-bar blues as a challenging and unconventional vehicle, offering both structural familiarity and expressive freedom. It is designed for live performance and recording, making it well suited for concerts, recitals, and jazz showcases.
This product includes a full score and individual parts for alto saxophone, bass, piano, and drum set.
