Poetry. For decades, artist B. Amore has elegantly imagined and chronicled the Italian American experience, turning artifacts into talismans and revealing how the past continues to pulse within us. What a joy to see her artist's eye turn to poetry. In this shimmering new collection, B. Amore connects the thread of memory, conjuring ancestors and ancestresses with a sculptor's precision, and tackling universal themes of love and loss, family, faith, parenthood, and aging with wisdom and grace. JOURNEYS ON THE WHEEL, like all of Amore's luminous work, informs and delights.--Maria Laurino
