Becky Plate is an enthusiastic Kansan, unabashedly in love with the Heartland. She is best known for lurking in the back of the room with a camera, penning intriguing obituaries and hosting a blog devoted to the Sunflower State. Just a moment please..., Plate's first published collection of poems, invites the reader into snapshots of the landscapes, politics, joy and pain of life and death in the Midwest.
