Kpangnan Butter is a rare butter that ranks in a league of its own. The butter is extracted from the seeds of the rare Pentadesma butyracea tree found deep in the tropics of the Benin Republic.
Kpangnan is a soft, powdery nut butter that melts into the skin and gives the skin a dry, silky feeling without the greasiness.
The unrefined butter is light yellow in color.
The butter is pure, uncut, and 100% organic. It is processed similarly to shea butter but with fewer steps involved.
Kpangnan Butter has a lightly nutty aroma that mellows out to compliment the scents paired with it in any cosmetic application.
Note: When ordering natural butter or oil, it is important to recognize that exposure to elevated temperatures during shipping or processing can affect its texture. In such instances, the butter may become liquefied, but it can be subsequently emulsified and rapidly cooled, resulting in a smoother, more homogeneous consistency upon solidification. Additionally, a white film may appear on the top layer. That is normal and is referred to as fat blossom. It is a thin layer of separated fats from the product.
