This collection ranges from encounters, clashes, inapt synergies between North and South in Pirandello's works, between characters, ghosts and actors in Pirandello and Eduardo De Filippo, to Santo Piazzese's Mediterranean Palermo, to Palermo metaphors in Giorgio Vasta's fiction, to a rereading of Gabriele Salvatores' Mediterraneo, to the migratory odysseys of our present, to the Great Mediterranean Mother and the enigma of the Italian soul, to the socio-linguistics of the lingua franca of the Mediterranean, to the new critique of the literature of Italian Americans, to the fame of the Ciocian models in Montparnasse, and concluding with The Moroccan Diaspora and Political Representation and the story told through the ministory of an unusual privileged.
