He Put A New Song in My Heart This original artwork is the first of a series of handmade mosaic creations. The art was inspired by The Psalms, specifically Psalm 40—it's never pleasant to find yourself in a pit of despair—but we can hold on to the hope that He will lift us up and change our tune.
It always amazes me when I look back at the pits I’ve found myself in. Every time I learned something, gained a new skill, a new perspective, or some kind of benefit that I would have never encountered without the struggle. He puts a new song in my heart.
Psalm 40: 1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
A Vividly-Colored Mosaic of 200 pieces of reclaimed piano wood makes up the backdrop for a heart-shaped collage. The heart collage has the original text from vintage Bibles and Hymnals. Psalm 40 and classic hymns are the subject of the decoupage collage heart.
