Author Biography

John Heisler spent more than a half-century at the University of Missouri, University of Notre Dame (41 football seasons, including 18 major bowl appearances) and UCF in intercollegiate athletics media relations and communications. He has written, co-written or edited 12 books (all but one of those on Notre Dame football), one of them a New York Times bestseller. A member of the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America) Hall of Fame, the South Bend, Indiana, native is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Tim Bourret worked for 40 years in the Clemson University sports information department and is a member of the school's Hall of Fame and the CSC Hall of Fame.He has written seven books, including three on Clemson football and three dealing with Notre Dame basketball. Originally from Hartford, Connecticut, Bourret earned his undergraduate degree (1977) and master's (1978) from the University of Notre Dame.
