Alejandra Medina's chapbook, of the angels, is an exquisite body of work. Her pieces focus on Los Angeles, honoring culture, history, family, love, and so much more. Her writing technique throughout the collection is brilliant, from word choice to form to storytelling. She brings the readers into the scope and heart of Los Angeles by sharing personal narratives and the Latine/x experience.
