Malaika Handa has been constructing crosswords since 2020, and immediately made waves with her ambitious 7xwords project, in which she and many guest constructors created puzzles for all 312 possible legal 7×7 crossword grids. Her puzzles have been featured in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, and USA Today, and she regularly contributes mini crosswords to Vulture.
