In his fifth collection of poetic strangeness, J. Martin Strangeweather identifies and defines a relatively new literary genre: mediatized realism. Media + hypnotized = mediatized. Through a variety of poetic experiments and imaginative explorations, Strangeweather demonstrates precisely what sets mediatized realism apart from earlier fantastical styles such as surrealism and magical realism. This collection is highly recommended for anyone interested in the current trajectory of literature and human consciousness.
