The Primo Lucifer XL is an ultra-hot Capsicum chinense pepper with a Scoville range of 1,100,000 to 1,800,000 SHU. Known for its gnarly, warty appearance and occasional spikes, this variety produces pods up to 1.5 times larger than standard 7 Pot Primos. The fruits ripen from green to orange and then red, reaching 1.5 to 3 inches in size. The plant grows up to 48 inches and yields prolifically, making it suitable even for cooler climates. Though still somewhat genetically unstable, this pepper offers phenotypic variety, intense heat, and a fruity aroma, perfect for sauces and salsas.
