Adolescence through young adulthood is an exciting time, and the emotions we have then are often the strongest of a lifetime. Although emotions are needed for direction, their new intensity can make it difficult to understand them, much less know how to act on them. This book describes a simple, quick, and effective method for relating to emotions called Havening. The term "Havening" comes from the word "haven," which means a safe place. The authors show teenagers and young adults how to use Havening in their daily life to feel emotionally safe, handle unexpected situations, and live their lives more fully. Many different applications of Havening are described, along with suggested questions and exercises.
