Since 1860, more than one thousand souls have been laid to rest in Monument's cemetery. This book shines a light on their stories: a shootout, a deadly train wreck, battlefield heroism, and the challenges of determined pioneers intent on making a new life in the Wild West. These are the lives that helped make Monument what it is today, one of Colorado's fastest-growing communities.
Rich in Colorado history, Shootouts, Killings, and War Heroes: The History in Monument's Cemetery is a must-read for anyone drawn to explore old graveyards. It may even inspire readers to visit Monument Cemetery.
