Arielle Schwartz is a clinical psychologist--with a PhD in the field and a master's degree in Somatic Psychology--a certified complex trauma professional, an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) consultant, and a Kripalu yoga instructor. She is an internationally recognized speaker, a prominent voice in the field of trauma healing, and an award-winning author. As a faculty member of the Polyvagal Institute, she teaches courses on mind-body approaches that apply polyvagal theory to trauma recovery. She is the author of seven books, including the acclaimed The Complex PTSD Workbook, EMDR Therapy and Somatic Psychology, and The Post-Traumatic Growth Guidebook.
