A carefree grasshopper named Gerry, content with his simple life, finds himself on a whirlwind trip around the world after getting trapped in a suitcase. As he tries relentlessly to get back home, he encounters many unusual insects, each with lives very different from Gerry's. Some of the insects help and some hinder his quest to return to the comfort of his tranquil meadow.
