The volume brings together studies on the concept of minor literary genres in late Greek non-Christian poetry and their socio-cultural context. They explain the role of rhetorical factors and provide new insights into metrical and performative aspects.
Author Biography
Krystyna Bartol is Professor of Classics at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań. She has published widely on Greek lyric poetry, especially on elegy and iambus, as well as on Greek Imperial literature. She co-authored with Jerzy Danielewicz the first ever Polish translation of Athenaeus (2010).
Jerzy Danielewicz, Professor Emeritus at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, has published extensively on Greek lyric poetry of the Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic periods. He is also the author of the book The Metres of Greek Lyric Poetry. Problems of Notation and Interpretation (1996).
