In The Seven Wonders of Stevie: Kwansabas, award-winning author Ran Walker pays homage to the musical brilliance and cultural legacy of Stevie Wonder through the disciplined elegance of kwansabas, a poetic form created by Dr. Eugene B. Redmond and rooted in the Black literary tradition.
With lyricism, reverence, and soul, Walker explores Wonder's sound, spirit, and influence, crafting a poetic celebration that resonates like a timeless groove. This collection is both tribute and testimony, a chorus of 49-word poems that reflects the wonder of Stevie and the wonder he inspires.
