With the help of an advanced technology known as "Opto-genes," residents of Glass City live a pain-free and emotionally-transparent existence. However, this seemingly utopian society faces a spiritual crisis in the form of depression, or, as it's called in Glass City: Dissonance. In order to save the city, Alexis, a chronicler, is chosen to go back in time to learn just how and why Glass City was created. During her time-traveling mission to Ancient Kemet and the twentieth century, Alexis discovers a secret about the city's founder, Kristine Felts. Alexis is now forced to face a harsh reality her community does not understand ...
... if one does not know pain, they cannot know happiness.
