Tuberose is a flower originally from Mexico, and it was known and cultivated by the Aztecs for their intoxicating fragrance, to make ceremonial necklaces for their rituals and celebrations. Being a flower originated in Mexico, it's native country and customs associated with it inspired me to create Tuberose Mexicana.
Tuberose was taken to Europe by the Spanish in the XVI Century, during the Age of Discoveries, and made popular in gardens there and in Italy, until Louis XIV's gardener discovered it and reputedly brought it as a gift to the Sun King.
Since then, it has been associated with French perfumery.
Tuberose Mexicana is inspired and follows the aromatic profile of the live flower. As such, it is a complex narcotic floral with green spicy and gourmand peach and coconut accents.
With rare ingredients like the real tuberose absolute from enfleurage, tagetes absolute, and massoia bark essential oil, the fragrance volume in Tuberose Mexicana hovers in the 10% to 11% range, right at the maximum that wax can hold, which is 12%. Tuberose Mexicana has a tuberose perfume that is far stronger than other tuberose candles you may find in the market.
And far more luxe.
Tuberose Mexicana is classed as a white floral narcotic fragrance with gourmand aspects. You can learn more about narcotic florals and perfumery classification here.
