Planting Instructions
In a well-prepared bed, plant the rhizome just below the soil surface with the bud pointed upright. Space rhizome pieces 6 inches apart with rows 6 to 12 inches apart. Apply a thick layer of mulch, using hardwood leaves or shredded hardwood bark. Rake back the mulch to a depth of 1 to 2 inches before the plants emerge in spring.
