In her stunning debut, Corie Nixon gives us poems of erotic and psychic power. Exploring the stress of navigating life and relationships from romantic to professional to parental, Your Anxiety is a Lying Bitch walks a tightrope of having grown up in poverty and need into an adult world of children, marriages, degrees, and employees. It wrestles with the reality of that voice that tells you you're never enough no matter how great your triumphs are. Its title and title poem remind us that despite its volume and insistence, your anxiety truly is a lying bitch.
